We accept cash payments (EUR, USD, TZS) as well as major credit and debit cards. For credit card payments within the hotel, a 5% transaction fee is applied.

Closest airport is the Abeid Amani Karume Airport, Zanzibar (Swahili: Uwanja wa Ndege wa Kimataifa wa Abeid Amani Karume, IATA: ZNZ, ICAO: HTZA). Approximate trip time from the airport to hotel is 60 minutes, 40km.
Uroa is located on the east coast of Zanzibar, about 40km from Stone Town and from the Abeid Amani Karume International Airport.
This is the best stop if you are planning to go from south to the north beach on the Island.
Uroans mostly live on fishing and seaweed farming and is the best stop for local life experience of the villagers.

In general, tides in Zanzibar do not vary significantly throughout the year. However, due to variations in the position of the moon and the sun, the tides may be slightly higher or lower in certain months. Tides can vary due to factors such as weather, coastal topography and local ocean currents. In general, the highest tides occur during the full moon and new moon, which occurs every 29.5 days. (you may google exact high and low tide timings for your specific stay with us).
At low tides expect to see seaweed across the beach. It is a natural phenomenon, and many guests are excited to experience it. Our team try to clear it up each day, but it can’t always be avoided (especially around December to February).
Yes, you can find different restaurant options along the Uroa coast. Uroa just like other beaches of Zanzibar, it is known for its fresh seafood, which is often grilled or cooked in a traditional Swahili style.

There is an adult pool and a paddling pool for our little friends.
Restaurant is open daily from 7am for breakfast to 10pm at night.
Pool bar is open daily from 7am to 6.30pm.
Our check in opens at 14.00 o’clock & check out is at 11.00 o’clock.
No, our reception will remain open to welcome all arrivals each day, even late at night. Please let us know in advance in case of an arrival after 22.00 o’clock.
Yes, our reception opens at 7am every morning. We would be happy to store your luggage at the reception area until check in time.
Early check in is possible, our reception team will inform you upon arrival. (Extra fees will apply and is subject to availability).

Our menu is changing daily and includes a combination of traditional Swahili recipes as well as world fusion plates. Our ingredients are locally sourced to ensure freshness.
We cater for halal, kosher, vegetarians, vegans, lactose/gluten free etc. We could customize menu options from our restaurant menu. This can be discussed with the manager/chef directly, upon your arrival at the hotel.

We can offer birthday cakes, wines, champagne and/ or flowers. Specialized candle dinners etc. (there might be additional charges).

No, we do not offer minibars in our rooms. If you would need a fridge for your stay, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you.
We generally do not offer in-room service, as left over food and opened food items may attract unwanted visitors, i.e. insects and small animals.
All beds are covered with mosquito nets.

No, no need to book in advance. Our reception team will be happy in assisting you organising any excursion you wish to experience, upon your arrival at the hotel.

The transfer cost for up to 4 guests, is USD 55 per one way. (Guests that book directly with us for a minimum of 7 nights, have a complimentary one-way airport transfer).
We do not offer a scooter or car rental service at the hotel.
However please note, driving in Zanzibar, it requires a permit issued by the local authorities in addition to your national or international driving licence. There is an extra cost for the permit and can be arranged with your car rental company.
