Jozani
Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park, the only national park in Zanzibar, covers 50 km² and is home to the endangered Zanzibar red colobus monkey, as well as various other wildlife. The park features diverse fauna, including Sykes monkeys and the elusive Zanzibar leopard, which may not be extinct despite its rarity. The coastal area includes vital mangrove forests and seagrass beds, supporting marine life. Conservation efforts are underway, aiming for UNESCO recognition as a World Heritage Site.
